Little-League Stormtroopers Broke Begging for Spare Coin on the Internet Worshiping Their God:Rock Hudson

The Gathering of Eagles, the boisterous men-club of hero wannabees that worships the Iraq war is sending out emails complaining they’re going broke and begging for money because people, er, ah, like their message so much. The incoherence in communications is pretty much par for the course for these face-biting lunatics. Check out the conclusion to their latest solicitation:
“ PLEASE, PLEASE open your pocketbooks like you’ve opened your hearts and give us the means not just to stay where we are but to grow! We have a message that America needs to hear and that America LIKES!”
Yes, America likes it so much you have to shake cans on street corners to fund your little death-worshipping club. You can read the archived appeal letter on their website.
These goons style themselves as anti-anti-war protestors, variously showing up to try to shame anti-war protestors in and around Washington, D.C. They’ve actually been seen jeering at Iraqi veterans who raise their voice against a criminal occupation of Iraq. Good thing the Eagles are around to set all those moonbats and hippies straight.
Yes, real winners. A wonder they have to beg for money with this kind of wholesome and respectful rhetorical approach. At least a VFW or American Legion post can give a drum and bugle corps a place to practice and make parades interesting. These guys are only good for sound effects and sight gags.
Check out their website which features serious discussions about how oppressed they are and how ready they are to whoop ass if anyone disturbes their mission of defending the prerogative of blood-thirsty oligarcs to send every last 18-year old in America to his death. The photo gallery is telling. Yes, that’s Cindy Sheehan, a dead veteran’s mom, receiving a respectful tribute from a web columnist.

The best thing about the Gathering of Eagles, though, is how they give tribute to the ghost of Rock Hudson, the first marquee-name American actor who died of AIDS, and star of the film, ‘A Gathering of Eagles’. No kidding.
It doesn’t get much weirder than this. This pro-war outfit actually memorializes a cheezy movie and its star, a gay actor who died of AIDS. Maybe they should rename the organization The Rock Hudson Brigade, stage demos in Provincetown and Key West and shake the can there. What do you say, guys?
