A while back, I got really pissed at something at my old job (no surprise there) and wrote an article about how Tancredo’s ad writers were shitty people because they used the picture of the murdered client of my ex-boyfriend for whom he served as guardian ad litem to illustrate a shitty anti-immigrant scare ad. This is that ex, and he hates having his picture taken. I’m publishing it anyway because the news broke today that he’s working on a movie based on that case and Brenda’s life tentatively called This Is for the Mara Salvatrucha.

This case was a good part of the first 18 months (or more) of our relationship, so there’s a good chance some version of me will pop up on screen. I’ve said, for the record, I would rather have someone quirky play the screen-me than someone pretty play the standard-issue “girlfriend” character. I liked the idea of Zooey Deschanel or Selma Blair, brunette-ness notwithstanding, but I’m taking suggestions. What’s yours?
