GOP to Filibuster Basic Human Decency

We’re all pretty ready for President Barry Hussein to take the helm and steer this boat back to open waters. But not everybody’s as stoked as we are. A friend of mine reported to me the other day that her father, who owns a Texas construction company, said that Nov. 4 was “the worst day in American history,” and that he was going to close down his business. And this morning Senator Kyl gave Barry a stern warning when it comes to nominating judges: don’t even fucking try it. Kyl expressed his outrage for Barry’s taste for reasonable construction this way:

“He believes in justices that have empathy,” said Kyl, speaking at a Federalist Society meeting in Phoenix. The attorneys group promotes conservative legal principles.

Empathy! Can you even fucking imagine?

Kyl went onto explain that the GOP will filibuster any nominations of jurists too liberal for Republican tastes. Since a filibuster takes 41 votes, we just want to be the first to say Good Luck.

  • Empathy is an emotion which the Republitronic brain, invented by Dr. Noonien Rove, cannot comprehend.

The country isn't rid of Bush yet and the screaming has already started. And as I type this, the evening news is running a story about "gun shops having a run on weapons". Texas apparently thinks guns will be banned now that liberals are taking over. One shop owner, I looked in time to see the bearded wacko but not get his name, claims people wearing Obama buttons are coming in buying guns because they know he's going to ban gun sales.

I'd like to think that there is a "majority" of Democrats in the Senate and Congress. But there are Republicans who have run as Democrats and I'm wondering if there will be much of a change. The past few years have seen more Democrats supporting traditional Republican views.

I was ready to throw in the towel on this site. Promise you won't leave us hanging like that for want of snark again, eh?
  • @becominginvisible: I'm not sure if that's a last desperate gasp or the beginning of a guerrilla underground. Then again, these kooks were pulling this shit when Clinton was elected and all throughout his term.
  • @Rayne1: sorry dude! wish i could do better. but hang in there!
  • I believe these guys have day jobs, so I don't blame them if the posts are few and far between.
  • @Rayne1- I actually had pointless restrictions placed on my election coverage by someone who shall remain nameless and didn't end up making me do any election coverage anyway. At least I was (barely) paid for my silence.

@rptcub- thanks your support for our flakiness means a lot

  • @hunterw: I do my best. And I hope you get paid more in hush money.
