Yet another proud moment for the Dear Leader and the Dark Lord:

Today marks seven years since the day President Bush received a President’s Daily Brief entitled “Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S.” (See the memo here.) At the time, Bush was vacationing at his ranch in Crawford, TX and stayed on vacation the rest of August 2001. Here’s how the administration reacted, according to the 9/11 Commission report:

Ivins: The Sorry Guy the FBI Wanted to Pin It On

The FBI has had a tough job in this administration. They have to pretend to investigate crimes that were perpetrated by BushCo operatives, and find people who will cooperate in taking the fall for them,  all the while attempting to maintain their self-respect and standards.

Something had to give and it was apparently the bureau’s standards. They just made a $6 million settlement for one guy they tried to charge with the alleged ‘Al Qaeda’ anthrax hit in September, 2001 just after the 9/11 attacks. Read the rest of this entry »

I just happened to stop by Rudy Giuliani’s shuttered campaign website, only to find that it’s not shuttered at all! At least on the front page (can’t say I clicked around that much), there’s absolutely no indication that he’s dropped out of the race. Which he did. A particularly well functioning part of the site is the contribution section, and we’re happy report we just took the opportunity to max out our allowed donation to Mr. Giuliani. We smell a comeback.
