Have you seen Barackbook? It’s the RNC’s not-hilarious attempt to lampoon Obama by highlighting his social connections to persons of dubious repute. The Barackbook is designed to emulate The Facebook, which was an extremely popular web site until today, when they shut down Scrabulous and then people realized that “superpoking” is not nearly as fun as it sounds. Anyway, Barackbook is all about how Obama hangs out with assholes like Tony Rezko and the founders of the Weather Underground, but not about how he is friends with terrorists like his wife and Sarkozy and a whole bunch of black voters.

Today, in a violation of legislative protocol and pre-existing agreements with the Administration, Nancy Pelosi shepherded through the House a bill designed to put off consideration of the Colombia Free Trade Agreement until after the November elections. According to House Democrats, this is to allow Colombia to address concerns about the harassment of labor organizers by bad people that don’t work for the government so that the bill can eventually pass with a lot more self-congratulatory back-patting.
