James Dobson May Give McCain the Most “Feh” Endorsement Ever

“I never thought I would hear myself saying this,’ Dobson said in a radio broadcast to be broadcast Monday. “… While I am not endorsing Senator John McCain, the possibility is there that I might.”

To continue … “Barack Obama contradicts and threatens everything I believe about the institution of the family and what is best for the nation. His radical positions on life, marriage and national security force me to reevaluate the candidacy of our only other choice, John McCain.”

Perhaps he is still considering Mike Huckabee.

Joe Lieberman Retains His Sheen of Assiness

\"yummy\"As part of the New Republic’s Veeptacular, in which they write about all of the horrible people that might have the job of waiting patiently for Barack, or impatiently for McCain, to die, they discuss Joe Leiberman.  I’m guessing they’re discussing him as a potential stubborn, hawkish, idealogue to serve under Olds McCain (the Thinking Man’s Joe Lieberman!).

Jonathan Chait’s point in the piece is that, while Joe Lieberman paints himself as a Democrat of the Old School who provides a levelheaded alternative to the Kossified Democrats who now run the party, he is actually a crazy old man whose opinions are hostage to the tendentious windbags of right wing radio.  Perhaps he would be perfect as McCain’s understudy.

Getting fired? Apparently worked out in my favor in more ways than I imagined.

Update: Michael Calderone at Politico beat Ken Layne and W******* to the story of their own sale by 30 minutes. I’m just sayin’.

Clinton Loses Lewis to Barry O

url.jpgWhen a civil rights leader backs your campaign it’s a good day. When a civil rights leader, switches his support to your opponent after pledging it to you… well, that’s a bad day. And that’s the kind of day Hillary Clinton is having.

Oof.

At this point, we’re actually starting to feel bad for her. Seriously, and for rills.
